The Haywood Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a quality driven, forward thinking individual, with proven Registered NHS Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy experience to join the organisation as an Advanced Therapy Clinical Lead role within our D2A service (Pathway 2).
You will be responsible for specialist clinical leadership of the D2A (Pathway 2) therapy service for older adults within hospital and community bed-based services supporting transformation for delivery of the nationally accredited model across 7 days. Working with a strong focus on rehabilitation alongside our multi-disciplinary teams & partners for the communities we serve, supporting individuals to maximise their potential and independence and reduce the need for long term care and support. In leading our team, you will be influential in developing a robust evidence based and skilled workforce ensuring safe and timely discharge into the community.
You will need to be a positive role model, engaging, enthusiastic and innovative in your approach. The post holder will have knowledge and NHS experience of working in a busy integrated team; be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills & emotional intelligence and specialist clinical knowledge.

- Be an Advanced Therapist / Therapy Clinical Lead for a defined population of service users. To have a detailed professional and clinical knowledge in complex / specialist assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic rehabilitation programmes within a D2A model. Embedding developed interventions to determine clinical and cost-effectiveness in reducing sedentary behaviour and improving outcomes after injury / illness.
- To support workforce planning of roles and working practices across 7 days / shift patterns (that will enable all staff to deliver integrated health and social care services) within the team
- To support front line staff through the changes needed to create more integrated roles, functions and team skills. To promote corporate values, encourage innovative and creative responses to the changes and constructively challenge staff resistance.
- To support and monitor the compliance of staff with new working practices, including Interdisciplinary working; Standardised Documentation, and take action when needed to address issues of performance.
