**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**: Cleaner/SWC Assistant

**Grade**: NJC SCP 1 - £10.53 per hour (6 hours per week minimum)

**Responsible to**: Social Welfare Centre & Events Manager

**Job Summary**: To undertake general cleaning, room set up and access duties within Horden Social Welfare Centre

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To undertake general cleaning duties within the Social Welfare Centre on a daily basis.

2. To set out rooms for users including tables, chairs, refreshments.

3. Opening & locking of building including fire safety and alarm setting.

4. Provide cover during building operation times including evenings & weekends as and when required to accommodate users.

5. To carry out any other duties not specified as above but within the general nature of the post.

**Qualifications**

Completed education Application form & interview.
Numerate & literate

**Experience**

Cleaning experience. Caretaking experience, Application Form, Interview including fire safety and and references
Working with the public. security alarms.

**Other Skills**

Ability to work as part of a Application Form, Interview team. and references

Self motivated, able to work with initiative.

Able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends as required.

Must be physically capable of lifting tables and chairs.
