An exciting opportunity is available for a market gardener/ornamental gardener to work closely alongside our small gardening team on a farm set in the beautiful countryside of Edington, Wiltshire.

The assistant gardener will primarily be involved in the running of the vegetable garden and two poly tunnels but will also be required to work in the formal gardens and other areas of the farm.

The gardens feature a walled garden, herbaceous borders, lawns, topiary, ornamental ponds, orchards, parkland, a tennis court as well as two poly tunnels, a soft fruit area, hops, and outside veg patch.

The assistant gardener will be an integral part of the team, enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to learn.

**Requirements**:

- Experience as a market gardener, allotment owner, formal gardener
- Some knowledge of plants, weeds, vegetables, fruit
- Ability to work on own or under direction in a team
- Physically fit
- Willingness to work in all weathers
- Attention to detail
- Passionate about gardening and keen to learn
- Experience of gardening equipment (mowers, hedge trimers, strimmers, rotivators, etc)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
