**What will you be doing?**:

- Taking ownership of the Architectural vision for Mortgages
- Providing the technical perspective in discussions with the business
- Driving the creation of Architecture artefacts to agreed timelines
- Ensuring any solutions align to the overall Barclays UK technical strategy
- Managing a broad set of stakeholders, whilst also providing leadership to the Architectural team
- Making decisions around how best to accomplish provision of a stable service and a modernization agenda
- Guaranteeing all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework & internal Barclays policies

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience in shaping and defining solutions across disparate technologies
- Exceptional level of experience with IT software development
- Working experience with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking
- Demonstrated experience of working in a highly regulated environment

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architect training and certification
- Exposure to API design strategies for internal and external customer usage
- Awareness of software development languages and technologies

**Where will you be **working?**
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
