**Job Summary**

Moog is looking to recruit a Logistics Cell Lead to join the team in our Industrial Group in Tewkesbury.

he Cell Leader is the senior person in the logistics cell and is responsible for the production of the cell, allocating and prioritizing workload, reporting an absence, managing performance, and the upkeep of the communication and SQDCL boards in the cell.

The role also involves hands-on support of the daily activities, managing workload, and priorities in the area, and communication with all relevant departments in the company as required.

The logistics team manages all activities in the warehouse such as receiving and booking in material from suppliers, maintaining stock accuracy, staging material to production, moving the finished product into stock locations shipping customer orders and subcontract purchase orders, and general warehouse maintenance.

**Key Expertise**
- Day-to-day supervision of the Logistics Team
- Managing team workload and priorities, assisting hands-on where required
- Ensuring adequate training for the team, aiming to avoid single-point failures.
- Monitoring of team performance targets
- Process Owner of level III QMS procedures for the logistics area.
- Management of shipping activities, including international shipment documentation
- Attendance of production stand-up meetings, running the daily/weekly logistics tiered meetings
- Liaison with shipping/packaging providers
- Perform tasks in the business system (SAP), ensuring Quick Guides are documented by the team.
- Investigation and rectification of stock discrepancies in the business system
- Ensuring the team is following H&S Risk Assessments
- Optimizing available storage locations
- Actively contributing and identifying continuous improvement opportunities in the practices and processes of the logistics team.
- Supporting Quality audits as required.

**Skills and experience**
- 2-3 years of experience working in a store/distribution environment or in a manufacturing company is preferable.
- Previous supervisory experience
- A reasonable standard of secondary education.
- Computer literate with good numeracy skills and ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills
- Good communication, interpersonal/organizational skills
- Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Able to adapt and fit in with Moog's philosophy/culture/values/honesty/trust.
- Good timekeeping and attendance records in line with company policy.

The Logistics Cell Lead will be required to be certified in the use of various pieces of handling equipment, including the Forklift truck. On occasions, the incumbent may be called upon to assist other functional areas with these skills.

Excellent communication skills are required due to interaction with various departments across the company. A proactive approach to Lean and Continuous Improvement Initiatives is required to support and engage the team.

Owing to the nature of the role you may be required to work additional hours or on weekends during periods of high departmental demand.
