Garment Qc Inspector

**Responsibilities**:
- Investigate and report on Customer complaints related to the quality of the product.
- Ability to work with quality systems and procedures. Including reporting and recording findings of testing and inspections.
- Create work instructions for different têxtiles.
- Helping with other general duties within the production facility which may include cleaning, the removal of waste and other duties on site.
- Assists colleagues by completing tasks outside their own job role when requested, including supporting the design team.
- Always strives to improve the department’s operation and increase knowledge of own and related job functions.
- Record all fit comments and relay them to the factories ensuring amendments are accurately reflected in future samples or production.
- Assess technical issues, which could delay the critical path.
- Ensure the fittings are carried out with design team members.
- Measure all samples to ensure they conform to the size specifications.
- Determine goods to be checked from the goods in list based on customer feedback, complaints and issues.
- Good communication skills are required with suppliers to relay issues and support future improvement.
- Ensure the right quality of products is maintained within the business, to ensure good brand reputation and customer retention.
- Understanding the brand’s handwriting, fit and quality standards.
**Essential Experience and Skills**
- Previous Garment Technology/Warehouse Experience.
- Ability to measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare to shoot samples.
- Effective communication of any issues encountered to all necessary parties.
**Person Specifications**:
- You will have a Fashion Degree or have an interest in Garment Technology / Experience
- Technical ability with knowledge of garment construction, manufacturing methods, garment fit & pattern alteration.
- Knowledge of fabric, lab testing and assessment of results.
- Understanding of test reports.
- Have a good working knowledge of tech packs.
- Professional and confident manner.
- Strong Admin skills. - Ability to use Microsoft Excel & Google sheets etc.
- Have technical garment construction knowledge/experience.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week
**Salary**: £12.31 per hour
