Lab Technician

**Position: Lab Technician**

**Location: Conwy**

Diamond Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Lab Technician for a world leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, near Conwy.

Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive testing and analytical solutions for companies worldwide, their cutting-edge technologies and services empower businesses to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of their products and processes. As a Lab Technician apart of their dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of testing and customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Unboxing and Testing Kits**:

- Receive incoming testing kits and equipment shipments.
- Thoroughly inspect and test the functionality of each kit, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Document any discrepancies or issues identified during the testing process.
- Repackage and prepare tested kits for scheduled dispatch to customers.

**2. Sample Processing**:

- Process liquid samples (water and oil) according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Perform sample preparation, preservation, and extraction techniques as required for accurate analysis.
- Record sample information, preparation steps, and any deviations encountered during processing.
- Maintain sample integrity and prevent cross-contamination through closely following all company handling procedures.

**3. Data Processing**:

- Collaborate with the analytical team to manage and organise collected data.
- Perform data entry, validation, and preliminary analysis using specialized software.
- Ensure accurate documentation of test results, observations, and any anomalies encountered.

**4. Adherence to Safety Standards**:

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to laboratory safety protocols.
- Properly dispose of hazardous materials and waste in compliance with regulations.

**5. Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other lab technicians, analysts, and researchers to support efficient testing workflows.

**The successful laboratory technician will have: -**
- Good communication skills
- Experience with data entry, processing or analysis **(though is not essential)**:

- Experience with testing **(though is not essential)**:

- A methodical, self-sufficient approach to their work and be able to multi-task

**Hours**

You will be required to work **37 hours a week** on the below shift pattern:
Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 5pm

Friday 8:45am - 4:30pm

**Salary**

The rate of pay for this position is £10.90 per hour.
