**Job **Purpose**
As a Sustainability Assistant at Finnebrogue, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Sustainability in collecting data for lifecycle assessments and assisting with administration work to develop a companywide sustainability strategy. You will contribute to Finnebrogue's commitment to sustainability by collecting accurate sustainability-related information internally and from across the value chain, bringing together internal working groups for project workshop sessions, and assisting the Head of Sustainability to develop the sustainability strategy to implement sustainable practices across the organisation. **Duties and Responsibilities**:
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collaborate with the Head of Sustainability to collect internal and external data which will feed into lifecycle assessments, including, energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation.
- Gather relevant information on sustainability best practices and industry standards.
- Assist in analysing data and identifying areas for improvement in sustainability performance.
Administration Support:
- Provide administrative assistance to the Head of Sustainability in developing and implementing the companywide sustainability strategy.
- Help coordinate sustainability-related meetings, workshops, and events.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and databases related to sustainability initiatives.
Research and Reporting:
- Conduct desktop research on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and technologies to support the development of innovative sustainability strategies.
- Help prepare presentations, and other materials to communicate sustainability initiatives and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, procurement, HSE, HR, and finance, to gather relevant sustainability data and align initiatives across the organisation.
- Work closely with internal teams to promote sustainability awareness and encourage employee engagement in sustainability initiatives.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, sustainability, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, and analyse data effectively.
- Working knowledge of sustainability concepts, including lifecycle assessments, environmental impact assessments, and
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact.
