This role will see you travelling across the picturesque Wessex Water region which covers Poole, Salisbury, Bridport, Gillingham and everything in between.

Multi-drop experience may be an advantage.

**The role**

Working closely with our Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Supply teams. You will help collect, deliver and manage barriers, signs and traffic lights efficiently. A big part of your role will be to assist in setting up temporary signals, road closures and diversions for Wessex Water to perform the necessary repairs and installations.

The role of a Barrier Support Operative requires you to work with schedulers and the Repair and Maintenance Supply teams to deliver and collect chapter eight signs and barriers from jobs in a timely and efficient manner. You will also work closely with the team to assist the gangs when needed.

**What do I need?**

Due to the remote and rural nature of this role, a valid driving licence is required. Some experience driving a commercial 3.5 tonne van or pickup is preferred.

With a 'can do' attitude you will also be confident, driven and self-motivated. You will also be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.

You will need to be physically fit as the role will require a large amount of lifting equipment, signs, traffic lights and barriers from the company vehicle to your place of work for the day.
