**About the Role**:
The Materials and MRP controller role is responsible for managing material requirements planning, material availability and stock control. Ensuring that all materials required for manufacturing, including subcontractor assemblies are available and kitted on time.

Maintaining the accuracy and availability of inventory (parts and finished goods) by performing cycle counting and controlling processes in accordance with the business system requirements for audit. Managing discrepancies include tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits, and maintaining reports.

Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations. Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on MRP and stock activities.

The Materials Controller / MRP Controller will be responsible for supporting a multi-disciplined team in the delivery of production requirements and to schedule and manage all works orders through the manufacturing process.

**Essential experience**:

- Working within a MRP environment
- Competent I.T. skills i.e., Word, Excel and MRP.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Understand planning methods.
- Experience of working within a Production/Planning office
- Understanding of Inventory management
- Stock management
- Updating stock information on the computer system
- A minimum of two years' experience as a stock controller in a similar industry
- Proficiency in inventory and MRP management software SAGE or similar
- Maintaining manufacturing bill of materials

**Essential Skills**:

- Organisation and time management
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Ability to work well with suppliers, customers, and other team members.
- Analysing supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock.
- Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
- Analytical, numerically astute and demonstrates problem solving abilities.
- Strong track record in the delivery of logistics solutions associated to the planning and control of materials for manufacturing.
- Experience of managing and running planned stock takes.

Desirable Experience:

- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems for Manufacturing SAGE or similar
- Stock control or materials management

**What we offer**:
The salary for this role DOE per annum We offer a 35-hour work week (8.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday) with an hour for lunch and although we hope you never need it, we also include BUPA company healthcare. On top of this, we also offer a generous pension scheme. Plus, free tea and coffee of course

**Salary**: £27,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
