SMART Education are recruiting for specialist and supportive teachers to work one to one with students who have EHCP's. This can be on a full time or part time basis and flexible timings around your current commitments.
This role will involve working closely with young people with SEN and their families
- including children with ASD, PMLD, SEBD, SEMH and sensory impairments - who require 1:1 home tutoring for a variety of reasons (e.g. too poorly to attend school, permanentexclusions, school phobias and anxiety, or awaiting a new school place).
You will be required to:

- Build an excellent rapport with both the pupils and their families
- De-escalate sometimes challenging situations
- Create a calm and positive learning environment
- Remain approachable and supportive.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the educational health care plan (EHCP)
- Complete weekly home tuition report after sessions that outlines progress of the student.
- Liaise with family, YP, SMART Education and the Local Authority.

LOCATION: NORTHFIELD

HOURS: Flexible
