Our client, a leading international engineering company, are looking to recruit an organised, professional and efficient Engineering/Purchasing Administrator to complement their Engineering Team.

Reporting to and working with the Production Director, duties to include:

- Monitor stock levels and Supplier performance, identify purchasing needs and resolve any issues and concerns.
- Research potential vendors
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends.
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
- Prepare cost analyses.
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
- Uphold the company Quality & HSE Procedures.

A background/knowledge within an engineering/production environment together with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings would be an advantage.

In addition, you will also possess excellent negotiation, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and/or Sage software would be desirable.
