RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting on behalf of our of policing client based in Leicestershire for an Intelligence Development Officer to work effectively to ensure that reports concerning those at risk from Adult, Child and Domestic Abuse are efficientlyand effectively handled.

This is a temporary role initially for 3 months and offers a rate of pay of £13.35 per hour.

**Main Duties**:

- Conduct appropriate risk assessments and provide referrals and other measures aimed at reducing risk.
- Advise officers on multi agency safeguarding arrangements and procedures and to contribute to these arrangements as appropriate.
- Proactively contribute to the communication of information within the team, raising issues and notifying the team of successes in your area of expertise.
- Liaise with internal partners across the organisation to ensure appropriate police actions are taken in response to emerging issues.
- Liaison with partner agencies to include discussions at multi-agency strategy meetings in relation to persons at risk.
- Review and assess police incidents relating to safeguarding and other risk issues
- Monitor and evaluate ongoing safeguarding investigations.
- Share/collate information in relation to persons at risk with/from partners in order to reduce that risk.
- Use own judgement to make decisions and record those decisions on a case-by-case basis.
- Assist in analytical processes designed to help identify people at risk.
- Ensure correspondence and enquiries are dealt with as appropriate and within set time-scales, responding in a timely manner to all ad hoc queries and requests for information.
- Conduct comprehensive searches of police systems, including liaison with other police forces and agencies to produce accurate and timely reports in respect of vulnerable people.
- Undertake administrative activities including the preparation and processing of all necessary correspondence/documentation relating to activities undertaken by the unit.
- Ensure security of all confidential and computer produced documents according to Force Policy and the Data Protection Act.
- Engage with the Performance Development Review (PDR) process by contributing to the setting of objectives, and giving consideration to your development needs and career prospects.
- Undertake such other duties commensurate with the post as may be required for the safe and effective performance of the job.

**Essential Requirements**:

- A-level grade C or above in English Language or equivalent or work experience using English to above standard.
- Possess a European Computer Driving License (ECDL) is desirable.
- Previous work experience in a post covering a broad range of office management duties.
- Experience of managing and recording of information on the telephone and inputting onto IT systems.
- Have experience of interrogating force IT systems.
- Experience of working in a confidential and/or sensitive environment.
- Communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, using written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working in a busy environment with the ability to multi-task.
