To further support the delivery of our Colleague Strategy, we have created a new Engagement Lead role responsible for leading and delivering a high quality, effective pan-TfL engagement strategy to engage with our people at every level of the organisation in order to build trust and drive behaviour and culture change through improved engagement.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Director of Diversity & Inclusion, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a new pan-TfL employee engagement action plan that is innovative and informed by best practice, employee insights and feedback including regular and effective employee survey activities.

This role will lead an Engagement Specialist and, working with the Director of Diversity & Inclusion, you will be responsible for ensuring the engagement team delivers targeted, timely and effective engagement interventions and campaigns that build trust, drive behaviour and support culture change whilst also improving engagement in line with business priorities. You will use your expertise and experience to capture, evaluate and develop insight to inform your decision making about strategic direction.

This role will provide high-quality advice, support and challenge to the business in the creation and implementation of its engagement strategy, translating key strategic issues into a clear employee engagement narrative. Working closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business, you will be responsible for implementing the strategy by determining how key activities can be undertaken and delivered most effectively with minimum business impact.

Through the use of innovative employee engagement initiatives and campaigns and effective and regular surveying activities, this role will help to drive continuous improvement in engagement and organisational effectiveness whilst helping to build a collaborative and inclusive culture and an environment of continuous learning so that TfL, through its people, is well-equipped to cope with the future business demands that it is likely to face.

**About You**

You will already have a proven track record of performing a strategic senior engagement role, implementing successful employee engagement strategies with measurable positive impact and return on investment. You will have excellent communication skills - being able to demonstrate your highly effective written and presentation skills and your extensive knowledge of designing and developing effective engagement campaigns across the full range of face-to-face, digital (including social media), print and broadcast communication channels in order to build trust and drive effective culture and behaviour change.

You will also have excellent influencing skills with a proven ability of building strong collaborative working relationships with senior colleagues and key stakeholders. Having an understanding of the complexities of a high-profile public sector organisation operating in a challenging environment is desirable.

You will have previous experience of leading, coaching, mentoring and managing a team of engagement specialists which delivers to time, quality and budget, working within a collaborative and inclusive team culture and building an environment of continuous learning using [industry] best practice and employee insights to guide and inform your decision making. As an established engagement strategist, you will have demonstrable project management experience of managing a substantial and complex portfolio of concurrent programmes from inception to implementation, with evidence that measurable business outcomes have been delivered.
