An excellent opportunity to join iON Ambulance Care has arisen for a skilled and strategic minded planning controller to support in our growing private ambulance provider. In this role you will be responsible for managing the planning team ensuring the roster for staff provide high quality patient care whilst patient transporting (HDU AND PTS)

The successful applicant will be based within the resource planning team at Thame and will be responsible for actively supporting the planning team. Identifying continuous ways of improving the patient planning and allocation protocols. Liaising with managers and team leaders to ensure that annual leave and abstractions are rostered correctly. Confidence and competence in the use of IT, the ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, along with accuracy and attention to detail. Lead direct reports, process reviews of the planning team. Strong solving, negotiation and communication skills. Ability to scrutinise reports and negotiate on complex planning matters and represent the organisation at enquiries, informal and formal.

**Entry requirements**

- Valid UK full B category driving licence
- Good numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills (tested at selection)
- Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness and compassion
- Sympathetic, respectful and caring attitude towards colleagues
- Flexibility and adaptability in accordance with the needs of the service
- Ability to work as part of a team.

**What is the package?**
- Starting Salary: £33,000 per annum.
- Shift: Monday - Sunday basis
- Location: Thame, Oxfordshire
- Annual leave: 20 days plus statutory public holidays.
