**Job Description**:
The Head of Food Safety and Food Risk Consultancy will establish and lead a new Business Unit (Risk Management Services) within Eurofins Food & Feed Testing UK to become a true knowledge partner with our clients through the provision of consultancy and risk management services in food authenticity and safety while taking advantage of our extensive databases to create a genuine point of difference in the market.

Role objectives:

- ** Short-term** (and with the commercial team): to develop a pipeline of potential customers for ongoing and project-based food safety and food-risk consultancy to generate revenue from the advice provided by our Eurofins experts.
- To develop coaching and training for our internal experts on how to sell the advice that they provide our customers.
- To develop training packages on Food testing and Food Safety that we can sell to our customers.
- To manage the 'Risk Management Team' on their daily tasks to deliver the above and the below.
- To work with the 'Big Data Team' to develop data-based insight and trending tools to create value from the testing data that we have.
- ** Longer-term**:to create and maintain a robust baseline of risk analysis consisting of a suite of risk assessments in standardized and generic format covering food authenticity and food risk. These should be produced using best in class tools, utilize our testing data, and have the core academic literature/resources sitting behind them.
- To link these risk assessments to our Eurofins historical data to create a more informed analysis of industry/segment performance vs. our identified core, sectoral risks.
- To create generic industry recommendations based on our risk analysis and data integration process steps.
- To develop a tailored risk management offer, on-boarding process and report/interface management plan across the 3 levels of offer (bronze, silver, gold).
- To support the commercial team in developing customer leads for our generic and tailored risk management offer.
- To create and manage an annual cycle of risk assessment, risk management and risk monitoring with on-boarded clients.
- To develop a plan, support and integrate our generic risk assessed data with client specific data and business context - this should include an end to end top level S/C assessment in given areas of risk.
- To build a horizon scanning program utilizing internal Eurofins reports, and key online resources to augment the annual risk management cycle with timely recommendations on emerging risks and hands on support where needed.
- Build up a team of risk analysts and a network of experts within the business to support risk assessment deep dives, consultancy requirements and requests for advice.
- Liaise with customers regularly, maintain strong relationships and continue to develop/hone the risk management process/offering to meet their needs.
- Be prepared to support customer presentations, work with marketers in developing new material and conduct awareness sessions to drive awareness and visibility of this new capability.
- To ensure separation between risk assessment and risk management processes at all times.
