**Salary**: £25,323 - £32,134 (pro rata scale point 3 - 6)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern/working hours: Variable hours - 0.6 - 0.8 FTE

Hambleton and Richmondshire Pupil Referral Service (Sunbeck) are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified person to the join our committed staff team. Our service is dedicated to improving life chances for young people who need help to manage their social and emotional skills.

We use a relational approach to build positive relationships and resilience in our learners. Students accessing Sunbeck have often had difficulty in mainstream secondary schools and need support and guidance to get back on track with their education.

As an Instructor at Sunbeck, you will be part of a dedicated and talented staff team, delivering a wide range of programmes and activities, both academic and practical based.

You will possess the ability to work flexibly, with good organisational skills, the ability to lead, manage and relate well to groups of students aged 11-16, a responsible attitude and awareness of health and safety, a high level of competence in the activities you will be leading, In addition to this, you will possess a good sense of humour and team spirit.

In addition to our main site in Northallerton, we operate a Targeted Mainstream Provision on the site of Thirsk School. This involves teaching learners with an EHCP with a primary need of SEMH.

Staff are sometimes required to work with our students at this site, delivering areas of specialism.
