PMO Analyst needed to support Programme Managers in large transformation programmes
Job Overview
As a PMO Analyst at a leading global telecommunications company, you will play an active analytical role within the programme. You will be spotting themes, trends, risks from the data as opposed to playing more of an administrative support role to the ProjectManagers
Location: RG2 6UU (hybrid/remote working options available - the team is based nationwide, there are occasional workshops held in different locations)
Pay: £425 per day through umbrella
Days: Monday to Friday
Contract: 6 months rolling
Key Responsibilities
- Working on large transformation programmes whilst helping the Project Managers to see the bigger picture and connect the dots
- Managing/helping Programme and Project Managers to manage dependencies, risks, issues, plans
- Facilitating workshops, presenting, communicating with impact, and challenging the status quo
- Managing and interpreting large sets of data, whilst proficiently using Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and different PPM tools (the main tool is Smartsheets)
- Elements of direct project management
- Supporting the business with central PMO responsibilities
- Onboarding data into Smartsheets to ensure the business is working as efficiently as possible and effectively generating PowerBI reports
- Showcasing trends and products across the portfolio
- Keeping track of the budgets, being able to portray the programme against Opex and Capex
- Working with various suppliers to ensure that the visions are aligned.

Experience Needed
- Experience of managing on planning perspective.
- Demonstrable experience of working on large transformation programmes
- Must be comfortable facilitating workshops, presenting, communicating with impact, and challenging the status quo
- Must have experience of managing and interpreting large sets of data
- Advanced Excel skills is a must
- Experience of working with PPM tools is a must (if that tool is Smartsheets then even better)
- PowerBI is a plus
- Direct Project Management experience is a plus
- Understanding of budgeting, Opex and Capex
