Import/export Administrator

Our client, a family run business has an exciting new opportunity for a Shipping and Logistics Assistant This role will be responsible for arranging the dispatch and importation of goods from global suppliers._
- You will be required to track company shipments by liaising with shipping agents and third-party warehousing, ensuring they have reached their destination as seamlessly as possible._

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the day-to-day import/export activities including daily interaction with customs brokers, freight forwarders and third-party logistics
- Communicate and execute timed product release shipping plans with factories and freight forwarders
- Arrange booking, shipping and customs clearance of inbound cargo from the EU and Far East
- Arrange booking, shipping and customs clearance of outbound cargo to the EU
- Prepare and issue all international shipping paperwork inc. FLEGT Licenses
- Goods Receive shipments on arrival to the warehouse
- Invoicing shipments

**Experience and skills**:

- Prior knowledge of shipping functions is essential
- You will need an excellent eye for detail and be proficient in Excel
- Great communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
- Commercial awareness
- Creative planning and problem solving
