Line Leader

Our client - is a successful producing leeks business in Chatteris and is looking for an experienced Line Leader.

**Salary**: 13.29£/h

Working days: 4 on 4 off (12 hours shift from 7.00 am till 7.00 pm)

**The main purpose of the role**:isto ensure the production lines run to optimum efficiency, following relevant production plans. They are responsible for the quality of finished products, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, specifications, and Company requirements at all times. The job holder is also responsible for the correct and timely completion of all associated line paperwork. They are expected to support the wider production team as required and complete additional tasks positively, always leading by example.

**Main duties**:

- Responsible for the correct setup and efficient operation of the production lines, so that the right product is packed within specifications and in line with food safety, customer, and Company requirements at all times.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding production targets and KPIs, so that planned efficiencies and target costs are always met. Issues and downtime that could lead to adverse results are reported to the production manager promptly.
- Responsible for the accurate completion of all relevant production paperwork and labeling, so that both legal and Company requirements are always met.
- Complete relevant line alterations in line with Company requirements, so that downtime is kept to a minimum and lines run to optimum efficiency.
- Responsible for the quality of all finished products on your line, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, specifications, and Company requirements, so that the customer always receives the product as expected.
- Ensure all workers assigned to your line(s) are allocated specific tasks and have been trained in those tasks so that individuals carry out their tasks safely, by requirements, and achieve maximum productivity.
- Ensure all routine cleaning and other hygiene requirements are completed on your line(s) so that the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety are always maintained.
- Actively promote a food safety culture, leading by example and giving coaching and direction as required, so that food safety, legality, authenticity, and quality are always maintained.
- Undertake any other duties, using transferable skills in any area of the business as reasonably requested.
