Join our team as a Safety Advisor and play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting global activities, and ensuring compliance across our organization.
As the Safety Advisor for Product Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to provide health, safety, and wellbeing advice, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and the JLR management system. You will work closely with a wide range of internal customers, as well as external stakeholders. By building strong relationships, you will influence process change, support global activities and product launch events, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve our business objectives.
In addition to your advisory role, you will support the development of Zero Harm Plans, conduct internal reviews or projects, and assess risks, processes, and controls to identify opportunities for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our compliance systems.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supporting Product Engineering with compliance to relevant legislation
- Work with cross functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives in the management of Health and Safety as directed
- Support the implementation of the health and safety strategy through the evaluation of statistical data
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**
- NEBOSH National General Certificate
Proven experience of process development, capability development and upskilling
- Experience of business influencing and contracting
- Proven strong communication skills and the ability to articulate information and influence others at all levels
- Computer literate
- Driving Licence
- Auditing experience
