**About us**

TT Academy is an academic institution focused on providing structured online English language learning programs to Indian students - kids, teens, graduates, working professionals, and corporations. Our students will work through a UK-based curriculum with the help of a meticulously selected, top-tier, certified UK English language tutor.

**About the role**

We are looking for hardworking **native UK English language tutors** with qualifications for teaching English as a second language. The students, aged 5 to 15 years old, will be from India.

All Indian students are already learning English as a second language and are expected to be high beginner/low Intermediate.

The tutor will be required to have at minimum a CELTA qualification and 3 years’ experience in teaching English as a second language. The tutor will be expected to provide their own syllabus with the expectation that they will be using it to teach our students. The syllabus will need to be provided prior to the first lesson for approval.

Moreover, they will be expected to be competent with computers, i.e., PowerPoint.

Class duration will be 30 minutes, either once a week, twice or daily depending on the needs of the student. The classes will take place through our online platform.

Class size will be 1 to 1 or group classes. Classes are bought by the students in packages - 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.

The classes are available only for weekdays and the timing is between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm UK time.

**Responsibilities**
- Tutor is to lecture students online, specifically kids & teens aged 5 to 15 years old
- All classes will be recorded so that students who miss a class may watch the recording and because of this, the tutor is required to teach every session regardless of student attendance, with exceptions being emergencies
- There will be no interaction and engagement with students, tutoring will be done through lecturing on a specific topic with PowerPoint, YouTube videos, and other material to be used as supplementary to the lecture
- Exercises and homework will be given with the understanding that the students will not give the finished exercise/homework back to the tutor

**Session flow**

1. All students will leave their screens blank.

2. There will be no interaction between the student and tutor during the lesson.

3. The tutor will lecture on a topic and may use PowerPoint presentations, YouTube videos, and other visual material to supplement the lesson.

4. All sessions will be recorded to be provided to students who join the class at a later time - this is not optional.

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
