We have an amazing opportunity for a Raw Materials Technologist to join our Group Technical team at our Head Office in Nottingham.

Our Group Raw Material Technologist's are responsible for approving, signing off and maintaining Raw Material, Packaging and consumables specifications for our group.

We are looking for somebody highly detailed who is confident to challenge and raise queries. You will be accountable for approval and maintenance of all raw material specifications and be authorised to approve or reject none compliant specifications.

**The types of duties you will be involved with**:

- Update specification templates (software based or MS office based)
- Obtain product specific approval documentation from existing and potential new suppliers, formal accreditation's (e.g., BRC and other certification schemes), SAQ's and HACCP documentation.
- Assist Senior Raw Material Technologist in maintaining supplier documentation to ensure due diligence & audit readiness in line with legislation & specific customer codes of practice or sourcing requirements.
- Assessment of new raw materials; liaising with NPD & Procurement to provide positive feedback & challenge & provide alternative options.
- Supporting profit improvement plans regarding raw material supply, working cross functionally to ensure changes are made in a timely manner.

**Skills, Experiences and Qualifications required for this role with us**:
Proven technical experience within food manufacturing, ideally experience of raw material specifications & associated quality standards

Knowledge of QMS and food safety systems.

Data management skills and confident using IT packages especially Microsoft Office

Excellent and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.

You'll be somebody who understands the need to prioritise their work and are able to meet deadlines with a high attention to detail

You're looking for a new challenge and are self-motivated with a “can do” attitude who enjoys working as part of a close-knit diverse team with mínimal supervision

You will be HND (or equivalent) qualified in food or a related discipline

HACCP - Level 2
