**Construction Integration Engineer**

The role

**Key Accountabilities**

**Project Specific Outputs**

- Construction Integration and Engineering Management support.
- Investigate and develop engineering solutions to support the Project Staging Strategy
- Delegated responsibility from the DPE for Construction Integration activities.
- Assist DPE in providing technical support to other project team members i.e. Project Managers, Commercial Managers.
- Provide construction information and technical support to project meetings as specified by the DPE
- Lead the development and completion of the project staging strategy for the project
- Convening of joint NR and supply chain workshops to inform staging sketches and staging strategy report
- Liaison with the NR sponsor and delivery partner in producing the transportation strategy
- Liaison with the NR project team to identify and resolve risks to delivery of the staging strategy
- Input into the safety and construction risk workshops to underpin the final selected staging strategy.
- Investigate and develop engineering solutions to support the Project Staging Strategy
- Participate in CSM and HAZID workshops.
- Undertake value engineering review to establish opportunities as to where savings can be made from a constructability perspective.
- Support the DPE to produce and issue the final CTS/CRT modules and process management documentation during the GRIP 5-8 contract award phase specifically:

- Construction Integration Processes
- Earthing and Bonding Integration Plan
- Project Survey Strategy
- Integration and Handover process
- Engineering Management Plan or equivalent.
- Work closely with the Design Integration Engineer (Project) to ensure what is being designed can be constructed.
- Work closely with the Construction Manger within the project to ensure what is being designed can be constructed.
- Management and transfer of construction risks identified through the design integration process, ensuring senior construction manager has visibility of all remaining open risks and can ensure the risks are managed.
- Undertake the DPE deputy role as/if required.
- Escalate any construction integration issues that are beyond the scope of the project up to the programme integration team.
- Undertake delegated duties from the DPE (to be agreed) to ensure integration of construction and delivery outputs from the various contractors.
- Produce the integration management documentation for the project in support of the GRIP 5-8 (PACE 2-4) Contract award.
- On behalf of the DPE, take the lead in development of the project Operations and Maintenance Strategy until completion and subsequent approval consulting with the appropriate people.
- Lead on Entry into Service activities demanded by Programme EIS Strategy on behalf of DPE.
