Our prestigious Education Client requires Enhanced (Child or Child & Adult DBS) Cleared Cooks for a number of schools around Burton upon Trentfor School Kitchen's 25 to 30 hours a week Ideal for parents on school run. (Temp ongoing, possibility of becoming perm)

Hours are typically either **7am to 2pm**

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff in preparing delicious meals for our customers. Your assistance in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness will contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen.

**Note**: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. As part of the team you will be require to assist with washing up after prep and after service.

**Responsibilities**: - Assist in food preparation and meal assembly - Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the kitchen staff - Help with cooking and grilling as needed - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area - Assist in stocking and restocking ingredients and supplies - Ensure food safety standards are met at all times.

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in a School kitchen setting is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Zero hours contract, Part-time - (Term times)

**Salary**: £12-14 PER HOUR
