Data Protection Lead

We are looking for an information management professional with expertise in managing personal data to join the team as Data Protection Lead, in this hybrid-working role.

**Position**: Data Protection Lead

**Location**: Hybrid/Reading

**Hours**: Full-time, part-time or job share

**Salary**: Starting from £43,631 pro rata

**Contract**: Full-time, permanent

**Benefits**:28 days’ annual holiday (rising to 33) plus bank holidays, Gym contribution membership (on completion of probation), Attractive pension scheme

**About the Role**

Key duties include:

- Complete relevant documentation that demonstrates compliance with data protection law.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a wide variety of roles to develop information management policies and practice.
- Monitor how information flows within the organisation, and check that colleagues are following relevant policies and guidance.
- Model excellent practice in information management.

**About You**

As Data Protection Lead, you will have outstanding communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a pragmatic approach, along with:

- A thorough working knowledge of Data Protection legislation as it applies in the UK, including requirements of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and supplementary regulations and good practice guidance
- An understanding of what privacy by design means in practice and experience in documenting privacy considerations
- A solid understanding of good records management practice
