Pet Sitter

**We are hiring again**

We are looking for an _**overnight pet sitter**_ to join our team of 4.

We are looking for someone with a passion for animals, who is reliable to stay overnight in clients homes; predominately caring for dogs & cats, but other pets also.

This is a part time **self employed role**, our stays can vary from 1 night
- 2 weeks. We offer stays all year round, but of course busiest throughout the summer.

This job can work around other commitments but please bear in mind clients may require set times, and we request you are not away from the property for more than 6 hours per day.

All enquiries come through the business owner, and will be offered for you to accept or decline. You would then be expected to carry out a meet and greet with the owner, to ensure all parties are happy, to gather information on the pets routine, and complete our paperwork.

In the future there could also be some dog walking holiday cover, ad-hoc walks, and potentially progress into more regular walks. All care will be insured through AJ’s.

**Requirements-**
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Own vehicle
- DBS check
- Pet first aid (or willing for us to put you though this)
- Smart phone
- To be able to work with your own initiative
- Good time keeping & diary management
- Experience working with dogs
- 18 +
- Confident with a variety of animals, breeds and temperaments.

**Preferred but not essential-**
- Level 3 + qualifications
- Animal related CPD points
- Rescue kennel experience

**Responsibilities-**
- Key holder
- Providing care for pets (exercise, feeding, water etc as requested by owner)
- Providing text and photo updates to business owner and customers.
- Immediate notification to business owner of any illness/injury of customers pets.
- Walking responsibly in all weather
- Safe transportation
- Keeping the house tidy

Although you will be working predominately alone, you will be part of a welcoming, experienced team whom are happy to be of assistance.

Customers may allow a partner to accompany you, but this is at their discretion and should not be expected. All company must be DBS checked.

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
