**Role**:Young Adult Support Worker**

**Salary**:£22,360 - £24,478 per annum (£10.00 - £10.50 per hour)**

**Location**: **Malvern and surrounds, Worcestershire**

Options Autism are recruiting Young Adult and Adult’s Support Workers to join our teams within the Malvern area. Our registered independent homes offer residential care for vulnerable adults with autism, complex needs and learning disabilities. Each of our homes are within commutable distance of Gloucester, Hereford, Worcester and other surrounding towns and villages.

**The Role**

As a Support Worker within our residential home you will work directly with vulnerable adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and complex needs to provide them with the care, support and opportunities they need to be happy, healthy and to make their way in the world. Each day you will be supporting individuals to develop independent life skills, from personal care to daily routines. You will also have the freedom to make each day as fun and fulfilling as possible working with residents to enjoy and explore their hobbies from baking and arts and crafts to outdoor activities such as gardening, camping, and walking, plus taking them on fun days out and mini breaks away.

Your empathy and warmth are just what’s needed in this rewarding role, working as part of an incredible team of committed care workers to help adults with autism feel safe and secure as they build the skills they need for life.

You’ll be friendly, patient, kind and considerate as you help them learn, making sure they’re well looked after whenever they’re in our care. You’ll love giving them space to grow and thrive, playing your part in creating a nurturing environment in which they can fulfil their potential.

Great communication skills are essential, as you’ll be in close contact with those you care for on a daily basis. In this role, warm and welcoming smiles really matter
