Production Opertatives

Central Employment are currently in partnership with one of the UK’s leading manufacturers in the Glass Industry. Our client is growing rapidly and would like you to be a part of that growth. Therefore, we are on the lookout for new Production Operatives for their manufacturing unit in North Shields.

Your duties will include being responsible for part of the process of making insulated glass units which are then shipped nationally and installed into homes and business across the UK.

Each position is on a temporary to permanent basis and following a satisfactory 12-week probation period has passed, you will be offered a full-time contract with the business. Once that stage is reached benefits include increased pay rates and further training opportunities.

**Shifts**:
**Rotating Shift Pattern of**:
6am-2pm Monday to Friday
2pm-10am Monday to Friday

**Roles available**:
Cutting Operatives - operating cutting tables to cut the glass down to size in line with the customers specifications.
Arrising Operatives - operating arrising machines which are used to take the sharpness off the edge of the glass.
Furnace Operatives - operating a furnace which is used in order to toughen the glass prior to it being made into a unit.
Line Operatives - working on a line assembling the insulated glass units which includes onloading, press machine, unit sealing and offloading.
