**Job overview**

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen within Sandwell CAMHS. Sandwell CAMHS is a diverse multi disciplinary team who provide evidence based interventions to children and families with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.

The successful post holder will be a registered professional from a nursing, social care or therapy background. They will hold a caseload of patients and work mainly within the Neurodevelopmental constellation.

The post holder will receive robust clinical and managerial supervision and there will be opportunities to develop clinical skills.

**Main duties of the job**
- To practice within the guidelines as set out by appropriate professional bodies.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of accurate records and documentation.
- To participate and contribute to service development and to ensure trust policies are adhered to.
- To liaise with other agencies/disciplines to contribute to the provision of a comprehensive service for children and adolescents with a mental health needs including advocacy and signposting where appropriate.
- To provide support and supervision as required to students on placement.
- To be responsible for setting the highest standards of care in line with clinical governance.
- To demonstrate good professional practice. To be a professional role model and provide clinical supervision, where agreed, in line with trust policies and standards.
- To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the evaluation of programmes of care.
- To formulate, implement and evaluate person centred care plans in line with trust policy and standards.
- To complete specialist assessments, outcome measures and care plans for specific diagnoses associated with child and adolescent mental health.

**Essential criteria**
- Clinical registration
- Evidence of CPD and professional portfolio

**Desirable criteria**
- Post registration qualification in relevant area

**Experience**

**Essential criteria**
- Proven relevant post qualification experience
- Understanding and contribution to the Clinical Governance Agenda and participation in audit
- Risk assessment experience
- Previous experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have an understanding of the different roles

**Salary**: £35,392.00-£42,618.00 per year
