**Job Summary** - Quality Control Officer

**Introduction**:
An opportunity has arisen to join our hard-working team as a Quality Control Officer. You will work closely with the R&D, Production, Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality control across the manufacturing and inspection areas of the business. We are at an exciting point in the business with an exhilarating pipeline set for the next 12 months so the potential for the role, and you to develop, is significant.

**Purpose and Scope**:
**Responsibilities**:
Incoming component inspections including:

- Understanding technical drawings
- Use of the Keyence Inspection machine
- Pre-Delivery Inspections of Finished Goods
- Sub-assembly inspections
- Repair investigations and assessments
- Follow-up non-conformances with Suppliers, Production, Engineering
- Upkeep of calibrations of measuring equipment
- Maintaining Quarantine
- Accurate Record maintenance and Training validation
- Contributing to the implementation of ISO13485, ISO9001 and potentially MDSAP
- Contributing to the upkeep of the Quality Management System
- Assisting in Quality Assurance where required

**Organisation Relationships**:

- **Direct reports**: No direct reports
- **Internal**: Production, R&D Engineers, Supply Chain Manager, Customer Services and USA Operations
- **External**: Customers, Suppliers

**Education, Experience and Training**:

- Experience in a Quality Control based role under ISO 13485 in a comparable industry _(Critical)_
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment
- Detailed knowledge of component/gear measurement techniques
- Written and oral communication skills appropriate for dealing with technical, operational, and commercial issues with stakeholders across the business
- Experience in conducting Internal Quality Audits in line with ISO 9001/ISO 13485 standards _(Desirable)_
- Educated to minimum HNC/HND level or above in an engineering or similar discipline _(Desirable)_

**Technical Skills**:

- Fast learner, capable of understanding a range of products within the prosthetics market
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles and methods
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques
- Excellent project, planning, change, and time management capabilities

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
