A well-established technology based in both Watford and Hereford require an experienced Principal Digital IF FPGA Engineer with a strong background in network protocols.

The role will suit someone with a working knowledge of communications systems engineering and digital signal processing. A pragmatic approach to the implementation of FPGA based network equipment is essentials.

Key responsibilities of the Principal Digital IF FPGA Engineer job based in both Watford and Hereford:

- To design and develop a range of modules and equipment for digital IF
- Produce HDL code for VITA-49 or similar network SDR transport protocols
- Expert user of Linux
- Integration and test of digital IF equipment

Key skills required for the Principal Digital IF FPGA Engineer job based in both Watford and Hereford:

- Industry experience with direct experience of RFSOC/MPSOC
- Experience of FPGA implementation of communications stacks including TCP/IP
- Efficient implementation of DSP algorithms in VHDL
- Experience of high-speed mixed signal PCB design constraints
