**Salary/scale**:£20,982 - £23, 003 (£25,878 - £28,371FTE)

**Background**:
Trafford Domestic Abuse Services (TDAS) is a Quality accredited, registered charity offering support to individuals and families who are affected by domestic abuse since 1990. We support families who live/work in the Trafford area and provide IDVA and Children and Young People (CYP) support services in Salford. We provide both intervention and prevention services and work in partnership with other voluntary organisations to support families across Greater Manchester.

**Purpose of the role**

To play an integral and active part in the community based IDVA and Safe in Salford Outreach team

The purpose of the role is to work in partnership with the police, providing intervention support to victims who have received police intervention on more than one occasion, who are presenting some high risk factors but not meeting the MARAC threshold.

The DA crisis worker will act as key point of contact between Safe in Salford, the police and the victim/survivor, they will have full overview of the service offer providing a person centred trauma informed intervention aimed at encouraging engagement.

The DA Crisis worker would not only aim to protect victims, but also to target offenders. This would entail reasons such as the perpetrator breaching their Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO), which bans perpetrators from returning to the address or having contact with the victim.

**Application Criteria and Process**

You must also have minimum of 12 months experience of working with adults in social care settings and knowledge and understanding of the effects of domestic abuse on adults, children, and young people. You must be able to assess risk, support plan and deliver services. It is essential that you have an up-to-date knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding.
