Metal Sorter/ Labourer

**What we are looking for**:
Dealing with customers on the manual scales will be an important part of the role

Forklift / crane experience would be useful

**Job Functions**:

- Operate fixed and mobile material handling equipment including forklift, material scrap handler, wheel loader etc.
- Operate fixed baling press, including a manual handling component
- Receive, organise, store and rotate materials
- Keep the warehouse clean and orderly
- Maintain a safe working environment by complying with safety rules, guidelines and regulations
- Maintain an excellent work record by following instructions, standards and procedures

**Skills**:

- Experience of working in an industrial environment preferred
- Experience of metal recycling or operating mobile plant could be advantageous, but not necessary as training will be given
- Good communication skills to interact with coworkers
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25Kg) and stand for long periods of time
- Hard-working and flexible with good attention to detail

08:00 - 17.00 Monday - Friday

weekend work available

45 hour working week
