We are looking to recruit FTTP Surveyor to join our team on new contracts covering Newcastle and the North Tyneside areas.

The FTTP surveyor is responsible for effective management of the pre-build process which includes the analysis of client designs, ensuring that H&S and build risks are identified and mitigated through design area walkouts with the client and design partner. Accountability for design deliverables which include TM plans and operational risk mitigations plans sit with the post holder.

**Operational Responsibilities**
- To lead and manage client surveys, providing support to the operational teams to deliver results in accordance with client specifications, CDM2015 regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Create detail job pack for build-including detailed design requirement for key customer projects. supporting new development opportunities.
- Create detail job pack for build-including detail design and cabinet siting using knowledge of design to deliver cost saving against physical specifications.
- Create build job packs that include the enclosed documents for utility stats, Street gazetteer, detail network plans with work point instructions, CDM, Bills of Material etc.
- At times support bespoke site surveys and associated design work to include RFCs, disconnects, diversions and MDUs.
- To actively support and protect data quality within GCU’s asset and client management systems.
- Support, develop and inspire future talent within the survey career pathway.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Good understanding and practical experience of CDM2015 and NRSWA91
- Experience of civils route planning including operational planning of build works
- Knowledge of FTTP design including PIA infrastructure
- Full understanding of UK local and national authority regulations in respect to civils engineering works
- S5 - PIA Pole Survey
- S6 - PIA Duct Survey
- S9 - Pole Stepping on Congested poles
- SA001 Overhead Safety
- SA002 Underground Safety

**Experience**:

- FTTP Surveying: 2 years (preferred)
- FTTP design including PIA infrastructure: 2 years (preferred)
- CDM2015 and NRSWA91: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- S5 - PIA Pole Survey Certificate (preferred)
- S6 - PIA Duct Survey Certificate (preferred)
- S9 - Pole Stepping on Congested Poles Certificate (preferred)
- Driving Licence (required)

Work authorisation:

- United Kingdom (required)
