**Position**:Room Leader - Preschool

**Salary Banding**: £24,712. - £32,216.91 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

**Hours**:Full time / Permanent / Mon-Fri / 40 hours

**Location**:Esher, Surrey

Our 85-place nursery is set within the beautiful Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher. Our nursery boasts a large outdoor area, consisting of a sheltered seating area, balance tyres, sensory garden and a large space for tricycles. The Nursery has a ‘Woodland Explorer’ natural environment area that is designed to inspire child-led discovery and supervised risk-taking.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
- Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
- Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
- Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

**What we’re looking for**
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
