- To work as a team player to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at all times.
- To work as a positive role model for colleagues and children.
- To provide a wide, varied range of activities to meet the needs of individuals, following the planning and a child’s next steps and interests.
- To ensure you are aware of your key child’s learning journey, where they are at and to ensure they are making significant progress and reaching milestones in line with their development.
- To build on and develop relationships with parents to ensure we can all meet the needs of the children/families in our care.
- To ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children in our care. This includes completion of cleaning schedules, use of correct PPE (cloths, mops, and buckets) and nappy changing.
- To undertake certain domestic jobs such as cleaning and sterilizing of toys/equipment and to ensure the nursery is always kept clean and tidy.
- To record accidents and incidents in line with the Little Legs Nursery Policies and Procedures.
- To ALWAYS ensure the child is collected by a known and agreed person on the child’s registration forms.
- To respect colleagues, children and families and have an awareness of cultural differences and to not be judgmental.
- To assist in the provision of supporting students who are volunteering or who are on placement.
- To attend regular supervisory and an annual appraisal (tbc in work time) and to participate in any training required for the position held. All mandatory training will be paid for by the employer.
- To respect confidentiality of all information received.
- To carry out any other duties requested by the Manager/Deputy that may be reasonably expected by a Nursery Practitioner.
- To be aware of the high profile that Little Legs has and to always uphold its standards inside and outside of work hours.
- To attend monthly team meetings.
- To be happy and approachable always

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: From £10.43 per hour
