Liverpool, United Kingdom We Are With You Full time

Our team in Liverpool are recruiting for an Advanced Practitioner, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people’s lives for the better, we’d love to hear from you.

We are looking for an Advanced Practitioner to lead WithYou Liverpool's Harm Reduction offer. We are looking for an individual with excellent working harm reduction knowledge, who has a proven track record within the substance misuse sector, as well as an understanding of the current and different local challenges in Liverpool. Working knowledge of Needle Syringe programmes would be beneficial.

Our Advanced Practitioners support the development and enhancement of practice for frontline workers, including Recovery Workers, Volunteers and Recovery Champions, ensuring that the project meets the clinical governance requirements set out by the organisation, national guidance and regulating bodies. This is an integral role for With You - as an Advanced Practitioner, you will identify activities that supplement existing systems, processes and resources and then develop skills and enhance practice to improve service quality. In your role, you will support the day to day operation of services through the delivery of appropriate evidence based interventions and lead in areas of specialism. As well as this, you will:

- Manage a reduced active caseload, providing structured brief interventions and/or other psychosocial and pharmacotherapy interventions
- Deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities
- Provide information and advice to individuals in relation to substance misuse; including support with access to structured substance-free treatment programmes and face to face reviews during and following treatment
- Support with the induction and development of new staff, supporting Team Leaders with specific elements of the induction process associated with advancing practice and identifying coaching opportunities
- Deliver training and skill sharing sessions with the team on aspects of practice to enhance existing workshops

This role will join our Adults Drug and Alcohol service.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained.

You should be a visible and motivational leader, with experience of supporting others and their learning, as well as leading on service development and managing and evolving relationships with key stakeholders. The ability to work across all local WithYou sites and within the community is essential.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and key stakeholders.

A full job description and person specification is available on request.
