**The Role - Electrical or Mechanical Engineer**

Reporting to the Team Leader, as a Shift Fitter you
- ll work as part of the Light Maintenance section of the Eastleigh depot and be responsible for efficiently carrying out the maintenance of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures. You’ll also play an active part in continuously improving product quality with duties to include, although will not be limited to:

- Carrying out work as allocated by the Team Leader within set timescales
- Operate rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits
- Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

**What will I need to be considered for this Shift Fitter - Electrical or Mechanical Engineer role?**
- Qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent City & Guilds / BTEC), Rail Traction and Rolling Stock preferred
- Good understanding of mechanical and / or electrical engineering and depot operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards and requirements
- Ability to work independently using own initiative
- Superb communication and problem solving skills
