Housekeeper

Housekeeper position at a private family home (live in) located in Weybridge, Surrey. Self-contained fully furnished accommodation is available adjacent to the house with bathroom and kitchen. All domestic bills and internet included. Live out considered if local.

Salary will be £23,000p.a (accommodation and bills included) and you will be enrolled on a PAYE basis. References and a DBS check will be required. Must have experience in similar housekeeping role be able to drive and have clean driving licence. References will be required.

You will be responsible for a busy south east Asian professional family of three including our 10 year-old daughter. Must like dogs We are looking for someone who is reliable and trustworthy and looking for a long-term position. If you can cook Indian food then that will be an advantage as well as ability to drive.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week typically Monday to Friday inclusive but will also be required to work one day in whole or in part at the weekend as required. Because of the nature of the position you will need to be flexible as needs arise. Normal hours will be arranged between 9.00am to 8.00 pm and will include breaks etc.

The role will involve:
General housekeeping duties
Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner as required. Clearing away, tidying and cleaning the kitchen and rooms where food is eaten.
Making and serving tea/coffee/snacks as required including for guests
Preparing and cooking meals for guests as and when required for dinner parties and luncheon functions of the household
Tidying and cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
Keeping bedrooms clean and tidy (including changing of the bed linens, dusting, replacing toiletries)
Sweeping, Mopping, & Vacuuming floors
Dusting and polishing furniture
Cleaning windows (interior)
Laundry and ironing of household laundry
Hand washing delicate items
Answering door and telephone
Feeding and exercising pets
Keeping patios, pathways clean and tidy
Watering household plants and external potted plants and beds as required
Light gardening duties
Dealing with tradesmen, suppliers, and contractors where necessary
Managing security alarms
Cooking/help in the kitchen as required
Childcare/babysitting when required for 10-year-old
Helping with breakfast and getting the child ready to go to school
Maybe required to accompany child to extra-curricular or play activities
