Business Finance Partner

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Partner to join my client's finance team at the heart of an exciting time, with a strategic review commencing to identify growth opportunities, and several in-flight transformation programmes underway.

Accountabilities

General
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop deep understanding of key drivers of revenue and costs, cashflow, and risks and opportunities and be conversant with the translation of commercial issues into financial impacts
- Support the Leadership team on the strategic review of the business
- Support my clients leadership team members to understand the financial impacts of new business cases / growth ideas
- Work with the business to identify opportunities to improve gross margin performance
- Review the cost base and identify cost saving opportunities to improve efficiency
- Support the wider finance team and business by providing robust, insight and analysis to drive improvements in financial performance
- Support Transformation activities, with ongoing reporting to ensure this new area has great insight into performance

Plan and Monitor the Business

Understand and help shape the business strategy and own its translation into financial impacts

Develop ongoing reporting to track performance against the strategic review and transformation activity

Regularly review and report performance against Group Annual Plan & latest forecast, working with the business to analyse financial and operational (value driver) variances and recommend corrective action

Deliver an accurate, efficient, and transparent plan/forecast which meets finance and business stakeholder requirements

Provide Decision Support
- Support and influence decisions, empowering the business to self-serve appropriate data to inform decisions independently
- Carry out non-standard / bespoke analysis to support business decision making
- Identify performance improvement interventions and design means of implementing associated changes. Facilitate relevant parts of the business to implement changes
- Support the senior management in reviewing investments and develop means of articulating value of investment, facilitating and leading relevant parts of the business to deliver business cases

Education
- **ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accounting qualification and relevant PQE Work Experience**

**Previous experience in a large organisation including**:

- ** Extensive Finance / Business Partnering experience at a senior level**:

- ** Strategic review, cost efficiency and turnaround expertise will be highly valued**

Excellent commercial acumen and a strategic thinking, able to support the business in making critical decisions
- Strong communication, capable of building trust and influencing decision making when needed
- Investment Spend and Business Case tracking experience an advantage
