Manufacturing Engineering Intern

The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern (CVE) Intern within the Commercialisation and Validation Engineering department on a 13 month placement opportunity to join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories whereas a site we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output.
The role is centred in a fast-paced manufacturing environment within the Commercialisation and Validation Engineering (CVE) team to support the implementation of new products/components on production lines. Root cause analysis and production studies are undertaken to monitor how lines run with specific machinery.
Coordinating with cross-functional teams to commercialise new products in UK manufacture plants. Provide feedback to brands by compiling data for analysis and making line trial reports.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Undertake production studies for the Assembly area to monitor how lines run with specific machinery. Produce recommendations and discuss ideas with relevant management.
- Support Line Improvement and strategic projects, as required, taking details from relevant manager and working within a project team or individually as necessary.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering with line trials and documentation as required
- Collate and compile performance and operations data into usable formats. Data would typically show trends highlighting areas for improvement.
- Generate and develop saving initiatives, investigate their feasibility and facilitate and drive implementation of justifiable improvements.
