**Wage**: £11 - £14 per hour

**Job Summary**:
As a Support Worker in our client's care home, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and person-centred care to their residents. Your primary responsibility will be to support and assist residents with their daily activities, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Personal Care:

- Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Administer medication following established protocols.

2. Emotional and Social Support:

- Foster a warm and supportive environment for residents.
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.

3. Health Monitoring:

- Monitor and record residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with the management of chronic conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.

4. Meal Assistance:

- Support residents during meal times, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are adhered to.
- Encourage and assist residents in maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet.

5. Housekeeping:

- Assist with light housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
- Ensure residents' personal spaces are tidy and comfortable.

6. Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Communicate effectively with the care team, reporting any concerns or changes in residents' conditions.

7. Promoting Independence:

- Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote independence and enhance their quality of life.
- Provide assistance and encouragement for residents to engage in social and recreational activities.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Understanding and commitment to providing person-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour.
