We’re looking for a **Head of Contracts** to join our Physicians Service Group based in 2 Cavendish Square. Our Physician Service Group are responsible for the growth, attraction, and development of new Physicians and supporting existing relationships within HCA Healthcare UK.

As our **Head of Contracts (PSG)**, you will be responsible for key areas within the PSG team, which will include the negation and finalisation of Physicians professional contracts within HCA to include IR35 employment conversions. You will also be involved in deal support on all PSG employment and practice acquisitions. Acting as a point of contact for US queries on UK records and progress reporting to our US team.

In this role you will work closely with our onsite Contracts Managers to ensure a professional and elevated level of Physician satisfaction and a seamless service / introduction within HCA Healthcare UK.

Alongside this you will be undertaking fair market value assessments on the suitability of professional fees on a case-by-case basis and on more widely applied fee schedules.

You will lead a team of 2 financial analysis who are responsible for our cross-facility management and accounting for our consultant room booking system, holding ultimate responsibility for room licences and secretarial support, progressing any required contractual updates, where necessary and implementing new policies and reviews.

You will support the team with the debt management where appropriate. Providing wider business systems training within facilities on Voyager (our consultant room bookings system)

Ideally you will be working within healthcare at the moment and have a legal / Contract background.

**What you’ll do**:
Voyager
- With your team provide, cross-facility management of accounts and billing: c.£800,000 per month invoiced via Voyager.
- Line management of two employees dedicated to the project.
- Debt chasing across unpaid invoices, reminder letters and management of debt with 3rd party involvement, as required.
- Policy implementation. Updating existing guidelines for consultant receivables in line with the new system and implementing them across HCA UK.
- Financial project management associated with system expansion.
- Month end reporting: ensuring the month is closed promptly and cross-system reporting is accurate.
- System troubleshooting - organise calls and raises cases with the developers to adapt and enhance the existing system to cater for our evolving business needs.
- Maintain regular catch-up with the sites to ensure each is happy with the system/progress made.

Physician Recruitment
- Negotiation and finalisation of post holders’ contracts e.g. Medical Directors, Governance Leads and medical advisors.
- Negotiate and progress EAs beneficial to HCA e.g. employment of pathologists and anaesthetists to fulfil business shortfalls as appropriate.
- Deal support on PSG employment or practice acquisitions.
- IR35 employment conversions for senior consultant posts
- Progression of EAs/acquisitions through contract approval processes.
- Fair Market Value Compliance
- Assessments of Fair Market Value suitability for professional fees on a case-by-case basis and on more widely applied fee schedules.
- Data gathering for external FMV reports and reviews e.g. room charges and medical secretarial charges across facilities at HCA UK.
- Communication of changes across the business and ensuring compliance with the new rates.

Contracts
- Creating and distributing new PSA templates and fee structures for cross-company usage, including the harmonised radiology agreement and the standard pathology reporting agreement.
- NHS agreements (surgical and anaesthetics). Creation of appropriate PSA templates; distribution of workflow for doctor engagement/approval; maintaining contract compliance and invoice suitability.
- PAWS uploads for all new corporate physician employment agreements and corporate PSAs.
- ConvergePoint management, including spot checks and approval of new users and changes to the system.
- Ownership of room licence and secretarial agreements and their updates.
- Advisory PSAs and non-clinical corporate PSAs: negotiation and then progression through the approval platforms.
