We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by **investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development.** We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

**Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role**:
Are you an experienced, fun and honest individual who loves going the extra mile to improve the lives of others?

Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported?

If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for

We are currently recruiting for a **temporary part-time **Support Worker** for 26** hours per week** to cover a period of maternity leave.** This post is for an initial term of 9 months but may be extended by mutual agreement.**

In our Parkhead service, we support 8 individuals to live independently in their own homes. For most of the people we support, this includes full moving and positioning support, meals, accessing the community, medication and personal care.

In the past, the people we support have faced a lot of challenges but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life They enjoy some of the same activities as each other, such as parties, arts and crafts, attending community events, shopping and going out to eat. However, they also enjoy their own individual activities, including listening to music and attending chapel and would love people with similar interests to support them.

To ensure the people we support have freedom to do the activities they enjoy, our shifts start run between 7am and 9pm. We support these individuals 7 days a week, so require flexibility to work some **weekends, waking nights and days** on a rota basis.
