School Gardener

Ludgrove seeks an enthusiastic and experienced gardener to complement our existing team of groundsmen.
- Have proven practical gardening/horticulture experience, as well as a sound knowledge of plants
- a recognised horticultural qualification along with PA1/PA6 spraying certificate. Full clean driving licence required - Competence with machinery/equipment use and maintenance, ranging from tractors, 2-Stroke Equipment and pedestrian mowers - Have knowledge and understanding of lawn care and maintenance, ground preparation, composting, mulching.
- excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for horticulture

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Garden maintenance tasks such as lawn maintenance, pruning, dead heading, trimming, shrub maintenance; planting, weeding and mulching beds and borders in accordance with good horticultural practice and garden design requirements
- An interest in the planning and designing of new areas
- Operating garden machinery such as mowers, strimmers, vehicles etc.

**Salary**: £24,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience. 30 days holiday including bank holidays
Start date: February 2023
Hours: Mon - Fri, 37.5 hours per week; 8.00am - 4.30pm with a 1-hour break
Full time / Permanent position
