Do you have good knowledge of the audio publishing process and distribution platforms available? Are you looking for a varied role where you can demonstrate your impeccable eye for detail, strong writing and editing skills and excellent communication? Then we could have the perfect role for you.

Your responsibilities as Editor - Audio will include, but are not limited to:

- Convert the new titles and editions that are produced each year to audiobook.
- Produce impeccably written scripts - take copy intended for print and transform it into a flawless audio script.
- Plan and manage relevant production schedules and co-ordinate appropriate copy, graphic, design and production resources.
- Negotiate with and co-ordinate external resources including authors, narrators and producers.
- Ensure that all content is correct, legally accurate and adheres to RYA policy.
- Working with the Publishing & Product Coordinator to review the monthly audio reports from developer accounts to identify trends, opportunities and areas to improve.
- Remain abreast of latest audiobook trends, channels and distribution, and regularly review our routes to market to ensure optimal exposure and sales.
- Push forward plans for creating a project-based podcast to promote audiobooks. This will involve scripting, voice work and coordination of production on an ongoing basis.
- Represent the RYA at Boat Shows, Book Fairs and other external events as required, including some occasional weekend work for which time off in lieu will be given.
