A fantastic opportunity has become available to join an amazing team in the heart of historic Durham.

Hotel Indigo, Durham is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the team to assist with maintenance operations throughout the hotel. From preventative maintaining for the future to on-the-spot ad hoc requests, all whilst keeping guest focus at the forefront. We are looking for someone who is hands on, and who has a sense of pride in their role. Someone who sees the bigger picture and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

To be successful in this role, you will have a high level of attention to detail, be a real team player and have a positive attitude. You will need a good understanding of hotel services along with experience within a maintenance role.

**About Us**:
**Your day to day**
- Working with the hotel Maintenance Manager to update and freshen up the hotel now that we have been open for 5 years.
- Adhering to Interstate and IHG policies regarding Health and Safety.
- Making sure that the hotel is compliant from a Health and Safety standpoint.
- Planned scheduled maintenance (painting, decorating, rooms maintenance).
- Ad hoc maintenance requests, everything from changing lightbulbs to making sure that the hotel grounds are maintained and safe.
