Here at Doncasters we specialise in turning metals into motion, working with household names such as Rolls Royce and Airbus, we are looking for an experienced Inspection Operative to help us continue our Journey. Based in our site in Chard, easily commutable from Ilminster, Yeovil, Exeter.

The working hours for this role are 37 per week.

**The Role**

As an inspection operative, you will work within the Post Cast area of the site, ensuring the important quality standards are met. By using state of the art machinery and tools, you will be interpreting and comparing engineering drawings to customer specifications, ensuring that we meet expectations.

Within this role, you will play a large part in improving quality processes and programmes, ultimately helping to drive business performance. You will collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, to diagnose issues or spot potential problems before they take action.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge and understanding of aerospace drawings and specifications
- An ONC level qualification in an engineering discipline
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Experience of working with castings
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to monitor quality
- Understanding of ISO geometric tolerancing is desirable
