Operations Traffic Planner

Due to ongoing expansion Laser Transport require an **Operations Planner** to join their team in Hythe.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing sub-contractor relationships to ensure they are providing the expected service levels to the business.

**The job**:

- A three-shift system of 0530 to 1330hrs, 0900 to 1700 hrs & 11.00 to 1900 hrs is currently in place.
- To manage data flows between departments, sub-contractors, and customers.
- To ensure all relevant information is relayed to all affected areas.
- Plan allocated Vehicles/*Area(s)/*Shift(s).
- Routing and scheduling of vehicles and drivers in the most cost-effective manner and within time parameters set by customers.
- Communicate all relevant information to drivers.
- Deal with telephone (driver and customer) or pass to relevant department if appropriate.
- Accurate input of data into traffic management system ensuring all required data fields are completed.

**Experience/ qualifications and skills required**:

- Ability to work in a fast pace, ever changing environment.
- Good understanding/knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Hands on experience of Fleet Planning.

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
